A Review Of 'learn And Master Piano

by Samson D I was one of the few fortunate people who got an advance copy of the 'Learn And Master Piano' and got have taste of it before it could hit the markets. This was compiled by Legacy Learning Systems; it was the same company that produced the highly appreciated 'Learn And Master Guitar' program. I knew the kind of work they produced and was expecting something really good; I wasn't disappointed at all this program was of really good standards. Will Barrow, the Grammy award winning piano player was hired to be the instructor of this program. Will Barrow is a well renowned pianist, other than this he is also a good singer, composer and piano teacher. I am going to give you a small look into what is included with this program and what it's potentials are: 1. DVD's - they are the most important part of the program or course. The program is inclusive of 14 DVD's, each containing of two sessions. I have gone through these lessons and I w

Finding the Best Piano Lessons by Ear on DVDs

by Chris Robertson For some people, the thought of piano lessons conjures up childhood memories of going to weekly lessons and endless hours of boredom practicing the basics. For other people who are considering enrolling their own children in piano lessons, the logistics of taking kids to lessons and the expense involved may seem overwhelming. Adults who have always wished they could play the piano might feel silly signing up with an instructor who mainly teaches children. Thankfully, as times have changed, so have the ways in which piano lessons are taught. In addition to traditional piano lessons, there are online piano lessons and even piano lessons by ear on DVDs. For many people, learning to play piano by ear is an incredibly enriching and rewarding experience. Not only can they play piano for their own enjoyment, but they can also learn the chord progressions necessary to tackle jazz piano, gospel piano, and even contemporary music. There are many advantages to buy

Babyface Face 2 Face Pop Music CD Review

by Clyde Dennis One word describes the CD Face 2 Face from Babyface... AWESOME! Face 2 Face will grab your attention right from the start with Outside In/Inside Out and won't let go until the very last note of the very last song Lover And Friend, which is another great track by the way. Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the project including Snoop Dogg and Heavy D plus a few other notables as well. Face 2 Face is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it two thumbs up. It's quite simply great listening. A must buy for the Pop fan. While the entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 2 - There She Goes, track 12 - Don't Take It So Personal, and track 14 - Lover And Friend. My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Outside In/Inside Out. Outstanding! Face 2 Face Release Notes: Babyface originally released Face 2 Face on Septem

Sara Evans No Place That Far Pop Music CD Review

by Clyde Dennis Very talented Pop artist Sara Evans has released her latest album titled No Place That Far and Wow! It's good. I wish it weren't the case but, it's not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with No Place That Far. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. Sara Evans is one of those musicians that has the ability to just win you over with her talent. The kind of artist it's really a treat to be able to listen to. Overall No Place That Far is outstanding from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Pop fan. Really spectacular from beginning to end. While the entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 3 - No Place That Fa

Pinoy Music Scene Goes International With Arnel Pineda Of Journey

By Joe Rizal Gone are the days when lovers of pinoy music and pinoy artists confine their attention to what's playing at home. Thanks to YouTube. Arnel Pineda of the Philippines, is now the lead singer of a rock great Journey. Now, pinoy music lovers in the Philippines beam their attention and support not only to pinoy artists at home but also to pinoy artists abroad. And conversely now, people from outside the country, Filipinos and non-natives alike have beamed and continue to focus their keen ears and eyes to the artists of the vibrant pinoy music scene. Arnel Pineda, who is now Journey's frontman, is the latest toast-if not the prime example, of this new phenomenon in music fandom. His life story, which is good enough material for a block-buster movie of one who rose from rags-to-riches-in the most literal sense, changed for the better. Thanks to the music industry. Pinoy music could not give a better example of one with talent who perseveres and gets his pla

Turn your computer into a recording studio

by John Tahan It is amazing what we can do with a computer now days, gone are the days when you were doing your home recording on a 4 track machine. Don't get me wrong you can produce a nice sounding demo on a 4 tracks machine, but now software sequencer are very powerful and very versatile. You have now the capacity to record as much as 60 tracks or more and create a full blown band sound by playing all the instruments yourself , doing all the vocals , lead and background, playing guitar rhythm , power chords, lead guitar solos , drums, base, piano and keyboard, recording your tracks one at the time. In order to get you going these are the items you must have. You first need: -a powerful computer: Anything equivalent to a Pentium 4- 2.0 GHz and up with a minimum of 1 GB to 2 GB of ddr memory, a 160 GB hard disk or larger, a nice monitor 17'', 19'' or 22'' LCD if possible. A good and quiet CPU ventilator is a must to achieve a spotless recordi

Collin Raye Walls Came Down Country Music CD Review

by Clyde Dennis Walls Came Down is the latest release from Country Artist Collin Raye, and is another great one from this talented musician. Unfortunately, it's not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Walls Came Down. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. Walls Came Down has a pleasantly varied, mix of 13 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly gifted artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard. Walls Came Down is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for ever

Piano Music Downloads

by Leslie I love piano music like many people, I got tears in my eyes the first time I hear the piano piece "my lonely road". Thousands of other people felt the same and I am only one of them. Not a lot of music we hear today got us all emotional and touches us so deep in our hearts. This song is about life, which is like a "lonely road" or journey. There are surprises and joyful moments as well as hard times and we gain wisdom as we grow old. It made me think of the lyrics of the song "my way" sung by Frank Sinatra but this piano music says so much that cannot be described by words. It is truly beautiful and also poetic. Music that is genuine and heartfelt usually comes from independent artists. The composer Ip Chui Han Amy (isisip) holds a bachelor of music degree from the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. I love the other songs on her album as much as "My lonely road", it seems like there is a story behind every song

Marc Antoine Universal Language Jazz Music CD Review

by Clyde Dennis The exceptionally talented Jazz artist Marc Antoine has released him CD entitled Universal Language. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Marc Antoine fans, and Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Universal Language Marc Antoine's artistic excellence is on full display as Antoine has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date. It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce that's exactly what I must say about this one. There simply isn't a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it's own. Marc Antoine is one of those musicians that has the ability to just win you over with him talent. The kind of artist it's really a treat to be able to listen to. I'm of the opinion that Univers
