Mark Bishop Releases Ground Breaking Southern Gospel Album - "The Fields of Love"

Southern Gospel Music singer-song writer, Mark Bishop recently released a ground breaking new album entitled, "Fields of Love". The album is unique in that all thirteen songs on the project work individually and collectively to tell a story.

"It is a musical journey of faith in the heartland", comments Mark. "It happens in rural American. It is a story of a farmer and his family, his wife and son. It is a story about a family that has faith, loses faith and their journey back to faith."

"This may be the best album of the year.", comments Tim Eutin , Program Director and Morning Show Host at the He's Alive Radio Network. "Each song is well crafted and stands alone. Taken together they form a story that is so captivating and emotional, I was moved to tears. It is by far Mark's best work to date."

The sound quality of "Fields of Love" is fantastic. "We went full orchestration throughout the whole album", smiles Mark. It has that, "fullness and majesty just like you would hear in a movie. We didn't anything on the budget and got the best talent." Indeed, joining Mark on the album are some of Southern Gospel Music's finest singers including Debra Talley, Lauren Talley, Jeff Collins, Reggie Saddler, Greg Day and The Kingdom Heirs.

The uniqueness of this concept album is not lost on Mark. "I've had different people call me up and give just a long list of compliments. They 'love this' and 'its fantastic' and 'people are going to enjoy it' and 'it had me crying' and 'it had me laughing' and 'Mark it's ahead of its time' and I just throw the brakes on as soon as they say that because the thought of it scares me." Mark chuckles, " When someone says 'its ahead of its time' that means it doesn't fit the market place. I think of Van Gogh or Picasso or whoever. Even though their work was celebrated they died paupers because they were ahead of their times".
